2019 is shaping up to be a positive year for combating fraud in digital advertising, per the annual Bot Baseline Report from WhiteOps and the ANA. According to the report, this is the first time that the majority of fraud attempts are being stopped, and thanks to industry efforts, the total amount of loss to fraud in 2019 is projected to be down roughly $700 million dollars vs. 2017, despite a 25% increase in digital ad spending.

The report gives much of the credit to efforts by Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) driving fraudulent bot buying vendors underground and out of the mainstream digital ecosystem. Swoop was proud to be a founding member of TAG, and we remain as dedicated to fighting fraud within our own ecosystem as always.
